I've got the latest Beast installed, and no wi-fi tether. Can someone help?
I first rooted my Droid a couple nights ago following the "From stock 2.0.1 >to> Sholes.info ROM..STEP BY STEP..NO ADB involved..UPDATED1/19/10" thread exactly. From that process, and doing a lot of reading on the Droid forums, I figured out how to install the Bugless Beast ROM. I used the nandroid install method to install the Beast.
android.tether still shows up in my list of applications under Settings>Applications>Manage Applications. But I can't find it to run it.
well it mounted once, then it force closed when i went to install busybox. do i need to mount again or is it mounted now since it did mount once? do i just move on to install busybox?
also, am i really skipping step 2 like the directions on the first page, or did the OP just leave that out for some reason?
So close..... lol
ALright windows is asking me to overwrite the previous update.zip (root your droid) file so i can upload the bugless beast zip to the sdcard.. Can i rename the bugless beast zip? or just overwrite?

You can't rename it, it HAS to be named update.zip.
I'm not sure where you are or what thread...if you aren't having any problems, don't bother following my link...but my link has three common problems that rooters run into that frustrate the heck out of them.
Yea, I'm having a bunch of problems with another thread and a DRH app so I'm going to delete all files associated with that thread and try the one you say works. Thanks, I hope this works on it. My main problem is me. I have never had to do stuff like this. I'm learning every minute.
