    Droid 2: How would I change carriers?

    Hey,

    I've been trying to find information about how to change the carrier of my (rooted) Droid 2 Global. It is currently Verizon.

    I've been searching, but there seems to be a lot of misinformation, scam sites, and other such nonsense, so I thought I'd ask. This forum seems to be the most knowledgeable of the places I've been thus far.

    If anyone has any information on the pheasability and/or how I would go about changing carriers, I'd appreciate it.

    You can't "change" carriers with a Verizon phone.

    The sim card is locked for outside US. It won't use the GSM carriers inside the US.
    Also, the 3G radio is CDMA, but uses a different band than Sprint (also CDMA).
