New to root
Hey everyone, I'm wanting to root my new EVO 3d, but am worried about bricking this new phone. To be honest I'm a bit of a script kiddie and still in the process of learning so please don't flame me here. I've looked all over the net for a way to do it but found about a hundred different answers so now I'm just gonna ask; which way is the best to root my phone? Also if I root my phone is there any way to return it to stock afterwards? Thanks in advance everybody.

Welcome to Droid Forums.
I am going to be honest, I know very little or nothing about the Evo 3D. Unfortunately we deal primarily with Verizon phones here so it may be difficult to get an exact answer to your root question. Not saying you won't but just letting you know that it's possible.

Yeah I kinda figured that out after a while. But I appreciate the reply, to be honest I've recently stumbled across the HTC bootloader so I think I'm gonna do that.

That's cool. And please do not get the wrong idea from my post either. I was not trying to deter you from the site. This is still going to be a great Android resource for you and I do hope you stick around. I was just concerned we would not be able to provide you with the "which method is best" answer since most of us have not done it.
