noob trying to learn hacking needs help

So i got my phone rooted using one click hack and was able to get adb installed and figured out how to work it to show my devices. I have a d2 with the ota gingerbread update. I am trying to install the fm radio and unthrottle hacks but when i open adb shell and put the commands in I i get permissions denied. I used a script i found on online to make the system read writable and that was denied as well. I am not sure if I am even using the right program to get this done or if the commands I have enter are just for froyo and will not work with with gingerbread. If am doing this right and the commands are just not compatible can some please post compatible commands for both hacks and the remout scripts needed. If I am way off base can some please guide me in the right direction.Sorry to ask so much but after a week of searching online and trying to figure this out on my own I am at an impasse.
