z4 root help after update

I was using the z4 root for a few months (mostly for the wireless teather)...now that the new update came out (4.5.605), I unrooted the phone, updated and am now trying to figure out how to permanent root once agian with z4 root. I have tried a few times but it force closes z4 root. Can somebody lead me in the right direction as I dont have too much experience with rooting.

You can't with z4, Google the Droid 3 one click, you will need a PC.

i downloaded the d3 one click root..and installed it on my phone using using .apkinstaller.com (used barcoded to transfer)...though i have the superuser icon it will not give me root access...i also tried using the usb method but it stayed at the screen that said waiting for phone to connect...any advice & please be patient as im not advanced in this matter

Not sure what you downloaded. The D3 one-click method is not something you put on your phone. You need a PC to do it. Search for "Pete's Motorola Root Tool." That is what I have been using and it works very well.

I had the same problem I we'll had z4 before the update. I used Pete's Motorola one click. I had to run the program twice for it to work though. But something on the update won't let you use any wiring tethering, it will connect to my laptop but will only bring up a vs hotpot page. I can't figure out how to get around that.
