About LinkBacksIs there a one click method to Root the OG Droid. Trying to do this for my father in law. Also does wireless tether work on OG Droid Rooted? He is a trucker and I would like to set him up so when he is on the road he can tether his new Ipad2 to is Droid. A point in the right direction would be appreciated. Or if I can use wireless tether via blue tooth without rooting that would be perfect.

The 2 methods I listed are the only ways to do it now.
The previous poster may have rooted with Z4Root when it was OS 2.1 or lower.
Sorry if I seemed harsh, realized I didn't put the "only 2 ways" in there!

07-23-2011 08:13 PMOk I have rooted my thunderbolt the long way and the auo way. and for some reason I cant Root this OG Droid, what am I doing wrong. I have debugging on, 1.9 I think is the superone click I have.

07-24-2011 06:26 AMYou need 1.6 or 1.7. The newer versions use a different exploit that the D1 OS (2.2.2) blocked.
