HELP! Stuck on bootlogo, no clockwork or system recovery mode access.
so here is my story:
i used rom manager to flash the droid 2 clockworkmod recovery. used droid 2 bootstrap to go into clockwork. did the backup and wiped cache, user data, battery stats, and dalvik so that i could flash my new rom, Droid Pro Fission Vanilla. did that, rebooted, got stuck on the bootlogo. so i went back to clockwork via power + x and did a restore. it worked perfectly, everything back to normal. (i wiped everything before the restore as well)
so, like an insane person, i tried it again. everything the same, except i made a new backup to flash back to. to my surprise, the restore did not take. i was not able to go into clockwork OR stock recovery (via power + r + m). i have tried many a battery pull, to no avail.
so, what do?

I would say its time to sbf. Are you familiar with the process?

i am not. i have been reading about it, and it seems complicated. i use a linux distro (ubuntu lucid) but i have access to a win7 computer if needed. do you have a link to a tutorial or some pointers?
-
Actually Linux is MUCH easier than windows. I'll dig up a Linux link for you but in the mean time, turn your phone off and pull the battery to save power and download the sbf file for the droid pro. I think there is a sticky thread in the droid pro hacks section that has links and info.

thank you very much. i will try this and report back here with results. i am just relieved that the solution wasn't automatically "place phone on papers, papers will not blow away!" XD

SBF with Linux...
This guide is for the global but if you substitute the droid pro sbf file its the sane instructions.

the sbf i got for pro is a zip. should i leave it zipped, like a rom?
-
Its been a while but I believe if you unzip it there will be a .sbf file inside

okay. i fear this has now achieved paperweight status.
my phone will not turn on whatsoever without being connected to a power source. the charge port led comes on when attached to my computer but nothing else.

update:
it has turned on while plugged into computer. back to the bootlogo. but it will not turn off in order to get to bootloader screen.
