    Best way to root Droid 2?

    I am new here, and I got my Droid 2 yesterday. Now, it is time to root. I have searched online, and there seems to be countless ways to root it. Is there a best way to do it? Do all roots have the same outcome? Is there any purpose to rooting other than custom ROMs? Also, is there an easy way to unroot in case something goes wrong?
