Help with unroot, z4root problem
Okay so, I have a droid x and a few days after I bought it I used an app called z4root to root it and upon learning that to do all the cool root stuff I would need to put alot more effort into it than a one touch app, I unrooted usin the app and uninstalled it, opting to wait until I really understood rooting. Since then I haven't gone back into rooting and kind of forgot about it until I updated on of my apps that I used constantly which now gives me a notice that it cannot run on a rooted device. I looked on the market to try and find z4root again thinking maybe if I unrooted with it again it would fix the problem but its not there anymore. I really don't know very much about rooting and unrooting so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how a newbie at all this could fix this problem? I would be very grateful since I used that app every day and now I can't

Ok first we need to find out if u are indeed rooted.so turn urphone off hold the power and volume down. Once ur in hboot. Look up in the corner itllsay s- .. if it says on the ur not rooted if its off then u r. But dothis back up your phone to your Google account. Next follow these steps...
Find and download the original stock Droid firmware and os image.
Rename the file PB31IMG.zip. don't unzip.
Move it to the root of your sdcard.
The hold power and volume down boot into hboot.
Then let it scan for a sec for the PB file and it'll print u for an update choose y or yes. Let itupdate. Bam now its back to factory stock next when urseting it up it'll ask if u wannaback it up from your Google account.makesure that's checked and then bam all ur apps and eeverything will be the way u had it...unrooted

So here modifyed instructions
Method 1: Press and hold the Up direction button on the D-pad of the phone (Up direction button is toward the screen), and press the Power button until the screen lights up. Method 2: Press and hold the Volume Down button and the Camera button, and press then Power button until the screen lights up.
ONCE you get to the bootloader screen it'll scan for that file and when it prompts you for an update update it.
