    Update.zip error

    I copied the zip folder in the root directory and rebooted my phone in the safe mode and applied update.zip but it gave me an error saying " Signature Error "

    What am i suppose to do now?

    Re-download your update.zip. It may have been a bad download to begin with. Make sure it's named Update.zip and not update.zip.zip.

    I did check the file bro and it read update.zip thats it but still there is an error while applying it Can someone really solve this problem ? It is silly for sure but i am not able to get it .

    Ok, well first question is what is the update.zip for?

    second question...Are you stock or rooted?

    And three...What recovery are you using?

    This will help us to figure out why you can't flash the update!

    Its stock phone is second place. I havent installed any of the roms or anything.

    Rooting with an update zip? If you have a droid 1 as your profile says and if you Have the latest update why not use the z4 root apk

    why oh why did verizon have to get the iphone

    Z4root actually won't work to root the newest update. I think motocache's root tutorial is still the method of choice but you'll need a computer. In fact I think you need a computer regardless.

    The z4root api needs no comp download it on to phone install click button done. I used it to root my x no comp needed.

    why oh why did verizon have to get the iphone

    Yes I have droid 1 and i have the newest update for my droid . But where will i get the tutorial on how to use z4root and its application?
