Need a lil help

I have downloaded the z4root app from the website posted below. I am just wondering is there anything that I need to buy or download from the market to obtain root access or to take full advantage of the root access. Any help is appreciated.

I know its kinda newbie question but I know titanium back, root explorer,ROM manager, ADW launcher, SetCPU, launcher pro are needed but what else might be needed?

I appreciate the quick reply. Im trying to get everything in line to root without a computer cause mine crashed a I lost the whole laptop but so far I got like 3 main things I think. Those are ASTRO, z4root, and im about to buy the bootstrap in the market. Never rooted without a computer so its goin through the learning process all over

Wondering do I need to place bootstrap on my sd card or if that's possible? What do I need to do now that I have purchased the boostrap?

Just use z4root and you should be good. Sometimes it may take a while to do its thing but just let it roll. I always had good luck putting my phone in airplane mode and then using z4. I'm not sure why but it worked every time like that. Let us know if you need anything!

I really appreciate it. I got superuser access granted and the little superuser icon now. I was wondering what should I download as far apps to remove or freeze bloatwear, should I download any of the following? rom manager, root explorer, set cpu? or anything else in your opinion?

Titanium backup will allow you to freeze apps. I use launcher pro plus and just hide then personally. Glad to hear you're rooted and booted though!!

And as far as the rest of those apps go, they're all great! Set CPU might not be needed unless you plan to overclock though.

Glad I could do it bc I was dreading the possibility of bricking it. I downloaded titanium backup and I am in the process of backing up everything listed in titanium backup. Should I back up the bloatwear also? And should I freeze the bloatwear or delete it? Cause im not sure if im ever gonna need to unroot my D2. I have the bootstrap, rom manager, astro, and titanium backup. Is this enough to get me back stock if I need to?
