    droid 2 keeps booting into clockworkmod recovery

    i installed rom manager to back up my image before i overclocked, and now ever since, whenever i reboot the phone, it boots into some clockworkmod recovery screen where i have to select to boot into the phone. i removed rom manager and deleted clockwork folder from SDcard but its still happening every single time. does anyone know how to get rid of this for good? i dont want it to keep doing that.

    Sounds like you are in bootstrap. Just install your backup and start over. What does the screen say?

    when it reboots, after motorola screen, i get this

    clockworkmod recover v 2.5.0.8 on top
    - reboot system now
    -apply sdcard update.zip
    -wipe data/factory reset
    -wipe cache partition
    - install zuip from sdcard
    - backup and restore
    -mounts and storage
    - advanced


    Clockworkmod recovery v 2.5.0.8


    so im pretty sure its clockworkmod, unless they work together. i had downloaded bootstrap and clicked like "make backup" a while ago, but never reboot and backup, and then deleted it because i thought nothing happened. but since then i installed rom manager, and when i said i want to back up, it said that i had to dopwnload clockwork to backup, and it downloaded it and ever since then ive had this

    im basically a newb and really doint want to install backuips or anything, i just wanna get it back to normal without this clockwork thing booting. is there any other way? and this backup is days old at this point

    Did u install bootstrapper? You.had to have. Are u just rebooting from that screen with the volume keys?

    Something got corrupted. Backups and SBFs are the only thing that can save your butt.

    That's what in thinking as well. I don't know hoe he got into clockwork though if he didn't know what bootstrapper was. Back the thing up and start from scratch. It happens to us all at some point. Hahaha
