    Stumped on Bootanimation swap

I swapped in a new Bootanimation.zip to my system/ media file on UD but when I reboot I'm still getting the matrix animation I originally set. I went back and double checked the png's and they're correct for the new animation. Any thoughts?

where did the matrix animation get installed to?
if it's in /data/local then it'll bypass the animation
    in /system/media

It was in the data files so I deleted it, now its the standard UD Bootanimation.... I'm a bit lost on this one, double checked everything. No more zip in data, proper png in system zip, did a search with root explorer and only one Bootanimation. Zip is on the phone and not on my SD card. Any thoughts?

.png files by themselves a bootanimation do not make. As far as I know and has been posted, boot animations are in /data/local/ and /system/media/ respectively. The only way they are recognized/used by your phone is if there is a properly put together "bootanimation.zip" file (which does contain .png files). If there is one in /data/local/ it will be used and the one in /system/media/ will be ignored. If one does not exist in /data/local/ then the phone will look to /system/media/. If there isn't one there, well, I just don't know what'll happen then.

    good luck

I think you misunderstood, they are Bootanimation.zip files, using root explorer I can view the files within. So I go in and check the png to make sure the images match the boot I wanted. As of right now I've deleted all Bootanimation.zip files on my phone and SD card. Still have my UD boot. Not really sure what to do now.

Well, at this point I don't know. Looks like UD has another happy user, and UD makes the system look elswhere for the bootanimation file, since you said that putting one in /data/local/ doesn't change things.

Sorry I have no more help.

No big, I'll just set my matrix boot again and deal. The phone is on its last leg any ways and I'll be upgrading in March.
