zzroot one click root app - can this app brick your phone?

i have a droid 2 and i downloaded zzroot which can apparently temporarily or permanantly root your phone with one click. have you guys tried this? can it brick your phone so thats its un-repairable? i wanted to root but because of the risk of permanent bricking your phone I dont want to take the chance. thanks!

I know a lot of people have had luck with z4root. Don't worry about bricking your phone during the root process, it's what you do after you root that can brick your phone.

you know my friend just texted me the same question

from what ive seen, it shouldnt harm your phone, and it wont be permanent root since an update from moto/verizon/google will override root.

It will give permanent root to a d2 in the sense that it can do more than a temporary root which only lasts till the next boot. True you will lose root after updates but you will stay rooted till then.

I used z4root to root my DX. It's quite unlikely you'll brick your phone just rooting.

So if I use zzroot to root and use tether, I shouldn't haave a problem with bricking? What abotut uninstalling all the bbloatware like blockbuster and amazon mp3 and city id etc. Can I uninstall that when rooted without te risk of bricking?

Neither of those things carry a risk of bricking, however when removing bloat you need a reliable way to return them or future updates will fail. I recomend using titanium backup to freeze them. That way they can be thawed out later. And as a safety measure don't delete or freeze anything unless you know what it is or what it does.

Yes once you root you'll have access to a bunch of root apps in the market like wireless teather and when you use it won't brick ur phone. I would be careful removing bloatware unless you know what ur doing.

I personally would make a full backup, incase something does happen... you have something to go back to.
