Anyone else notice music off sdcard pops or skips sometimes. its very annoying when loud.

I think its part to do with phone either sleeping or trying to in background, that is my onl guess. I tried everything to stop it so far only way to go back to stock rom

hmm. i had the same issue on my OG droid and new roms in 2.3, which used a sd card read ahead of >128 bytes. Once I changed the sd card read ahead speed back down to 128 I had no issues. Could be the same issue here in 4.x, however I'm new to the S3 and 4.x, not sure if sd card read ahead is still applicable. also, could be due to using a slower micro sd card and too high of a sd card read ahead value.
