phone turns off

has anyone had this problem, phone by itself shuts down, have to pull battery in order to get phone to work again .

Got my S3 yesterday morning. It has been working perfectly, until I went to turn it on a few minutes ago and nothing. Pulled the battery and all was well. How common is this?

Was just going to start a thread regarding the same issue and saw this one. It happened once last week and twice this evening. Never happened until the latest OTA update. What is the deal???

I came here to complain about the exact same thing and saw this thread.
It's completely random and in my case nothing turns it back on expect a battery pull.
Pretty embarrassing since my brother is an HTC fan and his never does that.
Then the teasing starts.....
Not to mention this phone is a week old.
Should I be sending it back or what?

Same here since the update. Random hit and miss.Only a battery pull will turn it back on. This may cost me I am looking at the Razor. 2 weeks ago I had to bring it back to Verizon they did a factory reset If I have to go back i will look at my options.

I have the same problem with my gs3. cept mine turns back on with or without the battery pull. Someones needs to get us some answers!
