    PDANet+ and WIFI

I use PDANet+ with my S3 and it works great, but it was getting warm when I had it plugged in.

Tried to talk to a Samsung rep and if I understood correctly, I should not have the S3 plugged into power while using the WIFI of PDANet+.

Does not get warm if I tether my PC with PDANet+ but I need WIFI for my Tablet. Also my wife can use the 4G with the WIFI.

Has any one heard of this over heating problem?

I also use PDAnet.....my s3 doesn't get really hot however it does get a little warm. I leave it unplugged until it needs to ne charged.

I don't have an S3 (I have a D3), but I have used PDANet+ using the WIFI option while it was physically connected (sort of tethered) to a laptop. When used this way the PC charges the D3 but it's getting the internet through the WIFI. We have also run other devices simultaneously while doing this using the WIFI. So, maybe you could try this and see if it still gets warm. One thing I have noticed my D3 gets really warm while using the GPS to navigate in the car, although it doesn't seem to hurt it -- but I agree it's unsettling. You also should take a look at the "Phone Cooling" thread for ways to cool your S3.

I would tend to agree with the Samsung rep. It would get warn anyway while charging and would get warm using it for PDANet so you are copmponding it by doing both.
