    Will my S3 work with a 64 GB micro sd card?

    Yes, if it is a major brand from a reputable dealer. For the moment, due to manufacturing issues, try to stay away from SanDisk.
    Currently using a Galaxy SGS3, SGS4 and LG Optimus G Pro also an ASUS TF700
    Printing and file transfer tips.

    So what is the best name brand SD Card should I use ? Will brand ScanDisk work as well ?

    It's not ScanDisk, it's SanDisk, you weren't paying attention.

    I was suggesting you stay away from SanDisk for the moment and look at Kingston, Samsung cards.
