Official jellybean update date??

Does anybody really know when the jellybean update is coming? I have heard many different times already like August 29, 30, 31 and others saying not until the end of the year? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I don't think I can hold my breath much longer.

No one knows when the update is coming.

The rumors you've heard about an update around the end of August are for the international GSM version of the S3, not for the Verizon version (or for any other carrier-branded models in U.S.). Since the updates for carrier-branded versions take longer to get ready (the addition of bloatware and the testing process by the carrier after Samsung has tested it), those updates always come after unlocked models. This is particularly the case with Verizon who is well-known for taking much longer than other carriers to test updates. While no one knows for sure at this point, it's likely that the Verizon S3 won't see the Jelly Bean update until closer to the end of the year.
