Just saw on Facebook through Samsung that a new Dark red (like maroon-ish) SG3 is about to be avail. They mentioned AT&T but didn't say it was only for them.

Everything I've read elsewhere indicates red is only for AT&T. You'd think Verizon would want red...

All report I have seen for months indicate this is going to be an ATT exclusive... although Verizon would have made more sense...
My wife and I already decided we would leave Verizon for att! A red GS3 makes the decision even easier! I can't wait till October when our contract is up.

Exactly I've red the same reports like a month ago or so it's "supposed" to be a att exclusive but it might make its way over who knows!Originally Posted by JFrawls

That's not so unusual...I joined Verizon because my then-girlfriend (now Wifey!) was on it. Then I saw the Droid X, and haven't looked back.
You never know what will influence someone's decision. My wife prefers the iPhone (ptooey!) over Android phones because it fits better in her hand. She knows little, and cares less, about the relative specs.

Ha! This is a fun discussion!
YES, I think it's fine to choose a carrier based on the color of the phone, especially since the phone is available on the top five carriers...
After all, some people choose carriers because of call quality, or customer service, or 4G coverage. Why should a unique phone color be less important than those other criteria? As technologically advanced as they are, phones are still a very personal device; people choose them for personal reasons that are as unique as they themselves are.
How many people switched to AT&T back when the iPhone (ptooey!) first came out and was exclusive to them? I'm sure plenty of them didn't care (at the time) about call quality issues...they just wanted that "cool" iPhone (ptooey!), and AT&T was the only way.
Besides, he did say that they had already decided to move to AT&T, so it's not like the phone color is really the only reason...![]()
