When I hold the home button my task manager doesnt come up is there another way to get to it? Does anyone know y it is doing this?

A long press on the home button doesn't bring up the task manager. It will only bring up the "recent apps" listing. But when that listing comes up, the bottom will show a link to the task manager though.

Therefore it would be the task manager and if you would have read I asked if there is another way to access it because my phone wont pull it up

What is exactly showing that it's not pulling up?
If you use a 3rd party launcher (I have Nova) you can create shortcut /activities and point it to task manager..

I dnt have anything special on it. When I first got it I could hold the home button down and bring up the "recent apps" screen to get to my task manager but now it doesnt pull up anything

So you are running stock and not using a 3rd party launcher or using a ROM? I don't see any settings that would turn off the recent apps screen when you long press the home button. Are you having problems in bringing up the recent apps screen when you long press the home button? Or does it show up, but the link at the bottom for the task manager does not appear?

I would start with a reboot. If the problem persists, I would do a Factory Data Reset. If you do the FDR don't forget to backup your text messages with one of the apps available on the market (assuming you would like to keep them).

I rebooted it and now it works fine
