Ringtones

This is a discussion on Ringtones within the Galaxy Nexus Help forums, part of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus Forum category; Does anyone know how to add ringtones? I put music in the "Music" folder, but I don't see a ringtone folder......

    Ringtones

    Does anyone know how to add ringtones? I put music in the "Music" folder, but I don't see a ringtone folder...

    You probably have to make one...or select the file you want to use manually

    Ringtone

    I guess there is magic that made the Ringtone folder appear.

    I just got done doing this. You have to use the USB hookup to your PC/MAC and drag and drop into the "Ringtone" folder on the phone.
    Note here there have been issues with hookups to PC/MAC but I found that the Samsung support site has the drivers or in the case of the MAC for me, they have a download "androidfiletransfer" tool that you can download.
    Once you download your ringtone to you "Ringtone" folder on the phone you should be good to go, just edit your contact that you want to add a special ringtone to and pick the newly add ringtone to your contact.
