Verizon voids Galaxy Nexus Warranty on Twitter due to past tweet

No account verification or anything. Verizon looked for past tweets and found one regarding JellyBean and voided his warranty. Made a note on his account without verification and told him he can't see it because it is their data. A somewhat recent XDA video goes in to why we have the right to root and companies can't simply void it for root. Your Warranty is Not Void – XDA TV – xda-developers

It's bogus is what it is. Voiding a warranty because of software for a hardware problem. Then, they can't even PROVE he was running JellyBean. Since when is a Twitter post damning evidence? I decided to stay with VZ for the remainder of my contract instead of dropping to a dumb phone and leaving immediately, but this kind of behavior could begin to change my thinking on that stance.
