    Random calling *22899

At certain times I will look down at my phone and it is calling *22899 I believe. I never fail it and there is nothing on the other end. Just wondering if anyone else is having similar issues

Its updating your prl which should help improve your signal. It shouldn't do it often though.

I do not think this is true for a 4G device.

As some has said above it is updating your prl for your phone. 3G devices you had to call *228 but this does not work for 4G devices. So thats why your phone automatically does it for you using the *22899

I've never had this happen on my phone. Is that because I am in a strong 4G region? Or does my phone just suck? Ha ha ha.
