I have an outlet in my car, but always on the lookout for a good USB when travelling.
My first smartphone was a Droid 1. Then I found the Nexus... Galaxy Nexus LTE unlocked & rooted...
AOKP JB build ROM, IMO JB exp Kernel,
Root Apps - Titanium Backup, Root Explorer, SetCPU, ROM Toolbox, Rom Mangler/ClockworkMod, CWMR Touch, Lightflow, SD Maid, Nova Launcher
I purchased the Verizon Universal car charger with extra USB port and I was able to run navigation with screen on while streaming pandora and it gained charge. Packaging didn't say what the output was on the charger but my 1amp USB charger couldn't keep up (showed AC charging). More expensive than some other options others are saying worked well from Ebay and amazon but needed something immediately. I'm just glad something worked at all... It wasn't a deal breaker but was a disappointment that I had to keep turning off screen to prevent slow discharge while on road trips.

I've got this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...00_i00_details
It's rated for 700mA. I can use Nav and positive charge at the same time - it works but charges very slow. I would assume anything over 700mA would work fine. I'm personally going to pick up the moto charger since it's rated for 950mA.
My car has a built in 110v outlet. I'm thinking that using the AC adapter plugged into that should keep it fully charged with no issues, but I don't use my phone for navigation much anymore since I have built in nav.
Wonder if the same thing may be accomplished by using a 3rd party inverter? Someone who is having issues with this should give it a try and let us know the results. They are pretty reasonably priced these days.
I have CDO. It's like OCD except the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be.
