    Is the galaxy nexus acceptable?

Is the galaxy nexus acceptable for a user who don't root or flash phones will they be happy with it? I am a user who don't know how to flash or root but I love phone technology... I am worried if this is the phone for me. I like the phone it is nice and love the look.. I am just worried that in stock form should I go with the razr? Please help do you think updates will come and help the signal and battery life of this phone?

There will be a fix for the connectivity issues soon I'd imagine (soon in VZW terms not as in tomorrow) Battery life will hopefully improve with updates as well. If you're using it at work definitely carry at least an extra battery with you.

This phone, more than any other, will be the MOST acceptable for someone like you. I had a D1 rooted and ran through 100 different ROMs but this phone I plan to leave stock. Updates on a Nexus device come much faster than from a regular phone. You'll be the first on the block sporting Jellyroll.

Thanks for the advice! I love technology and I use my phone for Craigslist so I kinda make a living with it... I want to be fast lol... I think updates will speed up the phone as well do you think? As of right now I think its a little slow at times

    I don't see why not.

My wife and I both had D1s, I rooted mine as soon as an exploit was found, hers is still stock

Last week we both bought the Nexus. I unlocked and rooted mine inside of an hour, hers is stock. I *might* root hers, but only to be able to run Titanium Backup. I highly doubt she will ever install a custom ROM.

Seems like you like the Razr more. Razr will get ICS eventually, probably before it's officially rolled out thanks to developers so maybe that is the phone for you. If you're patient to wait for ICS on the Razr then can't go wrong with that. Up to you though

Haha, you say you plan on leaving it stock. I give it a month before you are rooted!

But to answer the OP's question. The Nexus is not perfect, but not sure any of the 3 super phones out are perfect. Fro. What I gather though, the Rezound owners seem to be very happy with their phone and it seems to have the least amount of problems. With that said, the Nexus has a few issues, but I'm sure we will see much improvements over the next month or so, both from VZ/Google and from the devs if you do decide to root (I highly recommend you do, its a very simple process and this phone will/does have a ton of support).

Dustinslee I am kind of in the same situation. I had the Razr for two weeks and the only thing I miss is the motocast. I've always loved having the latest technology and I think the GNEX will do. Not sure yet if I am going to root or unlock but I'm sure it will happen eventually. I'm loving the phone and really hope the reception issue gets fixed soon. Although I was around town today pulling 4 bars of 4g. Only get one it two at home.
