    Just bought an extended battery- how do I reset battery stats?

    I would like to get rid of my battery stats from the stock battery. I am unlocked and rooted. I can't figure out where to do it though.

    If you're rooted you can use battery cal by nema from the market or delete the batterystats.bin file after fully charged before unpluginng charger (that's what battery cal does), then leave unplugged till it shuts down, then recharge without interruption.

    I'm planning on buying an extended battery, so I'm curious. What does reseting battery stats do, and why is it desired?
