Hello,
I just got my s4 today and it is really slow downloading apps on 4g. It is slower than 3g to be honest. any fixes?

It's been a long wait for some, but the next-generation of gaming is almost upon us! On February 20th, 2013, Sony held it's PlayStation Meeting conference, finally taking the wraps off what they have in store for the future of the PlayStation brand. The PlayStation Meeting lasted a whopping two hours and divulged tons of information: games, specs, the new controller, and of course the official name of their new home entertainment console - PlayStation 4. The conference was very "games" focused and really brought the point home that the PS4 was going to be a very developer-friendly console, unlike it's predecessor.

PlayStation 4 Features

• Shut down your system mid-game, your game state is saved in RAM. Next time you power up your PS4, your game instantly boots up where you left off. No more loading game saves every time you turn off/on your console.
• Spectate games your friends are currently playing.
• Take over your friend's controller to help them get through a difficult spot in a game.
• The DualShock 4 is completely redesigned. New triggers, enhanced latency, enhanced vibration, lightbar tracked via PlayStation Eye camera, touchpad, speaker, headset jack, new analog sticks, and includes a new Share button.
• The Share button allows you to take screenshots and record gameplay footage and upload them to the web.
• The PlayStation 4 can stream games and game demo's from the cloud. No more downloading gigs and gigs of files.
• If you do want to download a game, all it takes is a fraction of the download to take place before you can begin playing.
• Remote Play is returning from the PS3, and is much more of a focal point this go around. It allows you to play your PS4 games on your PS Vita.

Sony's PlayStation 4 is definitely shaping up to be a powerhouse of a console. The current confirmed launch titles include Killzone: Shadow Fall, Watch Dogs, DriveClub, The Witness, and Knack. No price details as of yet, but we did get a launch window of "this holiday season". With a very developer-friendly console and some amazing first-party developers, Sony is poised to rule your living room yet again! What fascinates me most are the social features involving game spectating, sharing your gameplay clips to your favorite social site, and streaming games and demo's from the cloud. My phone is basically out of memory. But I only have about 15 apps (none are big in file size) I have 1 video that is 2 mins long and 5 pictures. How have I already used up the space. I can't even take pictures without first having to delete one. It ridiculous. Any idea how to free up space?

I remember hearing a while back that the S4 was going to come with SwiftKey as standard, though it appears that it's actually a proprietary hybrid of sorts. This is great because of the number row, but terrible because of the fact that I can't seem to customize it in any way at all.
I use the "flow" method to type because going from a physical keyboard to the touch screen doesn't work well enough for me, but the problem is that it doesn't seem to be learning the words I use. I did the trial of SwiftKey on my old phone and it seemed to pick up on usage and let me add words, but it's not doing that on my S4. I try to use swears and stuff and it just won't have it. This is terribly unacceptable...
Also, I can't set the "voice, etc." button to have a different standard function, like a comma which I really wish was there.
Does anyone know if there's a way to add the dedicated number line on top of SwiftKey? I would probably just buy the full version of that if that's an option, and then I could get rid of the ugly ass apple style theme on this samsung version while I'm at it.

This is kind of a crap situation. Any suggestions?

If you have been following the Galaxy S4 Bootloader saga then you know that their is currently an unreleased method for unlocking both the AT&T and Verizon variants. DjrBliss is biding his time waiting probably until tomorrow for the official release before releasing his method. So far all we know is that it is a "hack". We have a picture of a screen that says "Recovery Booting" "Samsung Galaxy S4 bootloader hacked by Dan Rosenberg". This seems like more than just Kexec. It feels like a full bootloader unlock however Dan has not even officially said that the bootloader has been unlocked, only hacked.

There is a bright spot though. He has officially booted Cyanogen MOd on the AT&T variant of the S4 with "no issues". This may be good news for Verizon folks as well. Even if this is a bypass I will be just as thrilled. If it is just a bypass though we may not see CM and other roms officially supported on this device which would be a bummer. Developer "Open1your1eyes0" has been the go to guy for Root on the Stock builds for the Verizon Galaxy S3. He has already achieved root on the Verizon variant of the Galaxy S4 even though we still don't have a public method for unlocking the bootloader. The guide at the source link is very simple as long as you are good with following directions.

You will need to first prepare your PC and phone for the process by installing the Samsung USB drivers and downloading a few files. You will then flash a special Kernel that removes the "Root Block". Lastly you will Root your device. There is a disclaimer attached to the guide.

If you can wait a few more days @DjBliss will be releasing his method for unlocking the bootloader. Once that is accomplished you should be able to easily flash a custom recovery, and then install superuser.zip. That would be a cleaner way with minimized risk.

I've searched as well as I know how being a newbie, or dummy, and was unsuccessful finding answer. Could anyone please advise me on the possibility of organizing my photo gallery? I have several folders entitled, such as "Attachments," "Camera," "Downloads," etc that I'd like to incorporate instead of having multiple named the same. Sorry if not clear but I'll learn and do better.. :-) Hello Everyone.

Verizon had a big announcement today. Folks who were expecting the announcement of a VZW version of the HTC One were probably disappointed. There was no announcement of an HTC One or any other device. Instead, Verizon is apparently teaming up with celebrity Jennifer Lopez (J. Lo), to offer their new Viva Movil mobile experience. The new service is designed to offer the U.S.-based Latino population a new mobile shopping alternative.

I have an LG Nitro HD, and have recently had some weird battery issues. For months I have had a problem with my phone crashing. However, in the past few days whenever it does so it has been getting very hot and will lose a significant amount of battery charge (10-15%) when I get it rebooted. Twice this week it has crashed and lost enough charge require the phone be plugged in to reboot it. Normally, when I plug my dead phone in it won't boot completely but bring up a grey screen with a picture of a orange blinking battery, until I press the power button. However, when the phone crashes, killing it, and I plug it in the picture of the battery is blue and has a little yellow triangular-road-sign-looking icon in front of it with a spinning arrow. When it does this the phone does not appear to be charging at all as it will sit like that for about 10 minutes before shutting down, and rebooting properly with very low battery (1%). While the blue battery screen is up I cannot do anything to the phone until it goes away.

I have googled this problem extensively, and surfed through this forum, and cannot find anyone who has had a similar problem. Can anyone help?

Currently on Verizon and going to Europe soon. If I take the Sim card out would I not be charged for using it as a wifi device in Europe?
