I really, really hate being this guy... but I need help.

So yeah, I made an account just because I ran into a huge problem, normally I wouldn't do something like this. I'm sorry, it's nooblike I know.

But anyway, I think I've bricked my phone. I was on Gingerbread 2.3.3 and I rooted, I downloaded that flash recovery app and did a nandroid backup. Then I grabbed the molten custom rom and installed. Now when I turn my phone on I come to a screen that's just an android version of nyan cat, for a long time. It doesn't go any further. Any help is appreciated... thanks!

Boot into recovery if you can and restore the nandroid backup. You can also attempt to reflash the rom, this sometimes fixes the problem. Other than that, you can clear the data and flash the rom as a third attempt, because sometimes leftover data can cause bootloops and other issues when flashing a rom.
Of course if you cannot access your custom recovery, you can do none of these and will have to find an SBF file for your particular device from a reputable dev aand use RSDlite to restore the phone to factory condition.

Btw, it helps to tell us what device you are using.

Oh, wait, you mean to tell me you need to know the question now?
    Well, I can't answer that.

Molten wont flash over 2.3.3 you must either SBf to 2.3.4 or get the ota 2.3.4. Then root with Pete's root exploit then using tenfars recovery flash molten.zip
Always remember to make a backup of rooted stock 2.3.4 and wipe/factory reset
