    New to computers

    On my phone I got a lot files will it hurt anything if I delete them

    Pretty vague question. It depends on what files you are talking about. General Rule if you don't know what it is don't delete it.

    I'm thinking you have your phone plugged into the computer and you can see a bunch of files from you phone on your computer. If your phone is in USB mass storage mode you are seeing the files on your SD card. I wouldn't go deleting anything, your apps may have some data stored on them. I take it you have the Droid X so you have 8gb of internal storage and 16gb micro SD card you shouldn't have to worry about filling it up unless you have alot of pictures, music, movies, or if you rooted and install roms.

    on the SD card - its your call. most is user data.

    anywhere else on the phone - probably not. most of it is system files you need to be there.
