    Exclamation need some help

I am planning on buying a motorola droid X on ebay. The phone is from verizon but is not on a contract. I live in canada and was wondering if there would be any issues with putting my own SIM card in. The SIM is from rogers. I have heard of issues such as needing to unlock the phone and so on. I would greatly appreciate any feedback whatsoever as I dont want to buy the phone and end up with an expensive paperweight.

If there any issues that would arise from using the phone in canada please tell me.
    Thanks alot

The X is a CDMA phone and does not use sim cards. It's a no go on the rogers network.
