720p recording?
ok so i got the HDMI cable for my wife's dx (yeah she has the sweet phone and i got a SS loaded droid, i'm a good guy) i tried to play back the couple clips i had taken on her DX and they looked like @$$ on our plasma... when it finally did push both the video and audio. anyone else come across this issue? is it all hardware related or what?

How big is your plasma? Mine is 42" and the HD vids look pretty darn good.
Do your vids look good on the X's screen?

on the dx they look ok, not amazing. heck i think the clips i have my my d1 look just as good.
our plasma is 42inch and on there the clips and grainy and pixilated. possibly a bad phone? anyone else having issues? the clips you are playing are they clips you took with your phone or did you get some clips that you had taken else where (or even tv/movies) and put them on your phone?

I 1/8 piece of glass can only take so good of a picture/video. I find all images, taken from any phone, laughable compared to a real HD camcorder or a real SLR camera.
For what it is... it's O.K. bordering on good.

i guess i had high hopes with it. still the ability to play movies (and i guess music) through your TV is pretty sweet... and just one more way i get to one up my brother

Did you try changing your HDMI out settings form "automatic" to "720P"?
-
yes, i set it to 720p @60hz i will try it at 50hz. i saw no difference between auto and 720p@60hz though...

I have the same issue, when i copied movie files to my phone they look great, but once i playback on the tv its pixalated and the sound is off and grows larger as the file plays. but if i take the file off the phone put it on like my ps3 the video looks good again, idk why the hdmi-out makes the videos look so bad. and my tv is 40''

Does anyone know of any remedies for these issues?
