Did you check if task killer is set to leave them running?

Why are you using a task killer?

First, you don't need a task killer. If someone at Verizon told you that you did they don't come to this forum.

Now read why you don't need a task killer here:

i put it on there so i could stop programs from running that i was not using to save battery life .... all my settings are fine on it .. the consern i have is that the programs show they are running on it but i have not openened them and if i do the kill button and shut them all down they just turn back on . on there own programs like music voice commands and such things i am not using and am not opening just say they are running... also why do you guys say not to use task killer . isnt that the only way you can stop the program from running in the backround when you are done using it.

This is different from windows are RIM. Those programs are simply loaded in memory waiting to be used. They are not consuming your battery because they are not truly running. Programs, with very few exceptions, are only "running" when you are actively using them. Android has an internal task killer that will remove programs if it needs more memory. Otherwise it keeps program loaded in memory for instant use.
