Yes , but the same thing happened to me when I switched back to liberty from EncounterICS. I even sbfed to see if it would fix it. No luck.

I downloaded the one included in the thread for beta 3 of EncounterICS. Do you think I got a bad download?

Its possible, and those gapps wont work on anything other then a 4.0.x OS such as CM7 so if you SBFed and tried another ROM other then encounter then a bad download is a good canidate

Yeah I only used the gapps on the 4.0.x rom. I'll try redownloading and sbfing again. Hopefully it will work.

One other question, did you use titanium backup, or anything like that, to backup your apps, because the market only remembers paid apps, I'm sure you did but I'm just going over all scenarios in my head

I used rom toolbox to back up my apps. I'm almost positive that had something to do with it. Also I have titanium backup pro as well. I'll try that next time. Personal opinion is that its better than rom toolbox to backup apps.
