Help! I have a problem with my SD card.
I am sorry if this has already been visited, but I couldn't find it if it had.... Today, out of the blue my phone made the same noise that it does whenever it turns on and says "preparing SD card." Now I have a message that says "blank SD card." When I open it, I get the following message: Are you sure you want to format the SD card? All data on your card will be lost.
Like I said, it was totally out of the blue. I powered off the phone, didn't help. I powered off and removed the battery and SD card, didn't help.
Can anybody out there help me?

have you tried plugging it in to the computer and putting it in USB mode?

Yes, it is showing my music but no pictures. Is there something I should do while I am connected to the computer?

Ya try that ^^^ SD cards can become corrupt. Its always a good idea to periodically back it up to your PC. If it is corrupted and you have to format it, and if you're rooted, you can use Hexamob Recovery from the market to restore lost info

I would recommend what Droid Xer said if it's corrupt and you have to reformat it then either back up what you can with your computer or use hexamob if you're rooted
-
navigate to the DCIM folder on the card, if you can. Thats where pics are stored

blank sd card
Did you did you get any help? The same thing happened to me a week ago. For absolutely no reason, my sd card apparently was erased. I get the message says it's blank now. Just wondering if you found an way to recover any of your data.
