    3g hotspot and wireless tether

    I have used both and have similar issues with both. Wireless tether will rest the counter for the downloads and just quit transferring data enough it shoes it is still active. 3g hotpot just shuts off after a while. Any suggestions?

    Well for 3G Mobile Hotspot, go into your phone's Wi-Fi settings, hit "Menu" click "Advanced" and disable sleep completely, enable maximum performance if there is an option for that.

    Actually that makes sense for both. I never knew about that option and I believe it will work.

    Thank you so much. I'm glad I got this taken care of because I was hoping to get a xoom or similar and wanted to be able to use my phone as a hotspot.
