Droid X causing static shock?

Ok guys, this is my second post so i'll try to be brief and descriptive. My droid x started causing me to build up static and get shocked everytime I would use it and then touch something metal afterwards about a month ago. I haven't had this problem before, nor did I have this problem on my droid 2 global. Its become a sure thing that if I start typing on my dx, and then touch something metal afterwards I will get the piss shocked out of me. My phone isn't in any kind of protective case, and the only thing aftermarket on my phone is the screen protector that I bought from vzw. Any tips, ideas, or advice would be greatly appreciated guys. You have a gorilla glass phone. Lose the screen protector and see of it helps
