    Custom notification sounds don't work

    I have recently downloaded droidring and have made custom ringtones and notifications but only the ringtones work. When I receive a text msg my phone will only vibrate. The phone isn't on silent. The notification sounds show up in the notification ringtone folder and play when I preview but don't play when I receive a text.

    I am not sure that the stock app will handle 'ringtones' for text. It has been reported that Handcent works quite will with this option
