    New DROID likes to reboot..Reboot..REBOOT!!

    Whaaaaaaatt is the problem?

Brand new phone out of the box, reboot. Try to activate.. reboot.

    Finally activate!.. Reboot.

Call Droid tech support, play with phone doesn't reboot, hang up with tech support.. play some more and, OHH what do you know ~ reboot.

I looked up this nonsense and found that this is a common thing with the X?? Due to task killer app but I don't have that app or at least can't find it so.. HELP?

I want to love my Droid

If there are no apps installed other than what came with the device.
Return it for a new one.

I installed a few, but that was after the fact that the phone kept rebooting itself.

Do master reset if it still reboots return it ASAP.

    Master reset.
    1. Turn the phone off.
    2. Hold the Power and Home buttons down for about 5 seconds.
    3. A screen with an exclamation will appear. Tap the Search key. (the magnifying glass)
    4. Scroll down to factory reset using the Volume Down button.
    5. Confirm the selection.
    6. Select Yes — delete all user data then tap OK.
The Droid X will then complete the hard reset.

I've also been reading that people seem to be having this issue due to a weather app already installed in the phone.. I "stopped" it from running and so far (knock on wood) it hasn't been rebooting~

Question is how do I UNINSTALL the app? It won't let me highlight the option.

Without rooting the phone, you can't uninstall the 'bloatware' as people call it. But see if that is the problem. A bad hardware problem won't go away rooted or not. I would try the master reset. It's easy.

Stopping the weather app from running did not fix the problem @Rocko, so.. there's that.

And MMASUPAFAN I think that is what I will do. Just sucks, I was so excited for this phone and it isn't being very nice to me. :'(
