Moving videos taken on droid to PC to edit

Hey guys, so I think this started when I got 2.2 a few months back. When I take a video, I want to get it into Windows MM Live so I can edit it, but lately when I do take video it only plays in Quicktime. Not even in WMP. Here's my error message in WMP:

The selected file has an extension that is not recognized (.3pg) by Windows Media Player, but ... (other stuff that doesn't matter here).

I just realized this is the same thing that happens when I try to play a video bought from the iTunes store. Do I have to convert it or something, anyone know? I really want to get these videos edited. Thanks!

.3pg<---Are you sure you didnt mean --->.3gp ? Either way, that format is normally handled by Apples Quicktime. Now, you can change which player handles that format as well...some work better than others, such as VLC...but Windows usually doesnt play well with QT in my experience.

Also, converting between formats may also be an avenue for you to try....3gp to .wmv convertor on Google brings up quite a few methods and applications....3gp to .wvm convertor - Google Search
