Go to the top of ROM manager select flash clockwork recover, choose Droid X 2nd init then flash clockwork after its done select reboot recovery that will put you into CWM recovery then make your backup do all wipes then flash ROM and gapps

when i do reboot recovery...the phone just restarts and goes to home screen

Go to the market, get the Droid 2 bootstrap, I think it cost one dollar and try that

What Rom do I need as a base, I know witht the last LGB I had installed and am currently using I had to SBF back to froyo and then flash. This morning I flashed 3.2 without downloading 3.1 and my phone was bricked. I just SBF'd back to Froyo. Any further steps I need before flashing to 3.1/3.2? Thanks

You need to SBF to 4.5.602 gingerbread and reroot to flash either 3.1 or 3.2
