Just saw this now. And yes the different system versions do have different kernels.
For every post you answer for me. i'm gonna start throwing 5$ in a jar til I have 800$ for a new off contract Nexus lol
Hey I do what I can and if it helps you get a Nexus then I am ok with that
I should have added that the issue with the locked bootloader means we can not flash custom kernels on the DX. But official kernel changes by Moto do happen when updating builds.
Im not entirely sure what kernels are? Or what I'd be able to do with an unlocked bootloader as the X is my first smartphone :O
Yeah since you do have an X I wouldn't worry too much about it. But if you ever have an unlocked one kernels are another thing you can flash and customize on your device to try and get the most out of it.

Isn't this the D1 section?
You guys get my hopes up with fresh threads in the kernel section and then it's all about the DX?
Meh, I say! Meh!

It is the Droid 1 section, but in February when this thread was from, some of the sections were arranged a little differently. Since then some of the original sections got filed under the Droid 1 forum, originally there were just general sections because there was only one phone.
Huh. Crazy. Why did I think this was an active discussion?
Ah well, carry on!

No worries, we all have our moments. Sometimes I feel like I have more moments then non-moments![]()
