Well to take it back to a true stock state you will need to SBF your phone. There are a ton of great guides out there and honestly I do not view it as a difficult process.
I am on my way back yo work from break but if you Google "how to sbf a Droid x" you should find something easily. You are going to want a full sbf, not a system only one. If you Google "Droid x sbf files" one of the first results has all of them listed and you want the one for android version 2.2.1 (normally at the top of the list)
