About LinkBacksIve been tryin to root my droid x, but everytime the root program gets to aquiring root shell, the program cuts off and the phone goes back to the home screen. What is going on with that? Am I doing something wrong?

What program are you using to root? And what version of android are you on? Certain root methods will only work with certain versions of android (e.g. z4root will work on Froyo, Gingerbreak on certain versions of GB, etc) -
