Gingerbread for Page Plus users

This will teach you how to program your phone to Page Plus after the Gingerbread install and had issue with the blue triangle that won't go away next to the signals bars in the top right corner

If you upgraded your Droid X phone to the Android 2.3 Gingerbread with no Root then this is for you.

If you have installed the Gingerbread with the pre root installed and if you have that blue triangle that is located in the notification status bar next to the wifi bars and the reception signal bars like a light blueish triangle and it won't go away, then all you need to do sbf back to froyo and then the trangle will still appear and you type *228 and press 1 to activate, if you try to activate your phone by using *228 in Gingerbread, it will try to take you to a live representative and you DO NOT want to do that, they will blacklist your ESN number and tug to get a verizon plan.

in other words, *228 does not work in Gingerbread, it will not program it automatically like it did in Froyo, because the installed wiped out evertyhing and i mean everything, that is why you have the UNKNOWN NETWORK if you go under your settings/about phone/phone stats.

okay so how do we do this, you need to go back to Froyo, sbf back to it

and then once you're in Froyo, you'll see the triangle in black, first dial ##PROGRAM and then the password is six zero's "0000000" then press done, then put the MIN number page plus gave you and under MDN put your cell number and then click done and it will reboot automatically, after that press *228 it will program and active it and then the trinagle is done

boot into recovery using bootstrap for dx and then installed the new gingerbread with root which is dxgbrooted.zip i believe

so then after that you'll see that it is programmed the triangle should no longer be there and under network should say verizon wireless.

now you're going to do a factory reset under settings/privacy/factory reset and do not erase the sd card. why one more time? because you will have the sync icon stuck instead of the triangle, after the reset, trinagle and sync is gone and you're done.
