throttling hack

anyone else done this i did this morning and i have seen it in the past but didnt beleave it would work but im getting like almost 2mb s b4 i was getting around 500kbs so it must have done something

Throttling hacks are up to much speculation...

The speed of your 3G depends on a LOT of things.
Signal strength (even if the phone shows 4 bars it may not be a fully strong signal)
Amount of cell towers in the area
Amount of people using the towers at any given time
Age of the tower, and it's efficiency in broadcasting/recieving.

What a throttle hack does do, is prevent Verizon from limiting your speed during, say, a very large download or sustained activity (like torrenting or tethering to a laptop or multiple devices for x amoint of days)
