    removing stock battery indicator

    Hey guys,

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the stock battery indicator? I have another I use in the status bar and the stock one is just taking up space. Thanks in advance for any help.

not sure if doing that will create problems or not, but if you want to be your own guinne pig.
the file are located in the system/framework/framework-res.apk under drawable-hdpi. they are named stat_sys_battery_0,5,10,15,20,30 ect

then there are the battery charge animation images as well. you could always just create some clear .png files named the same, and push them to the framwork-res.apk. this would assure you would get rid of the battery image without causing problems, but i think there would just be an empty spot where it used to by.

deleting the files completely could cause some problems so make sure you have a working nandroid.

Removing them will more than likely create an instant boot loop when restarting the phone as the system will be trying to load something that isn't there.

I don't see how, as you can't access sys files w/o root in the first place...

You also might try experimenting with making the images only a pixel across & see if it shifts the icons over... You can edit those files individually in ninjamorph by long pressing on the icons in the project.
