To be perfectly honest if you are experiencing these kinds of problems a refurb might be better than what you have now.

To an extent I agree with you...however, there is a part of me that is majorly po-ed that I paid good money for something that doesn't work. I believe there is a certain expectation that when you buy something it should work...correctly. When it doesn't it just makes you mad that your told you can have a used one.
Thread open again. Everyone please watch your language, specially you OP. If I see anything else like that from you again I'll not only shut down the thread you will get an infraction as well.
Be Respectful of each other.
A few of you got your post delete as casualties of war. Be careful when your quote people.
I would agree with what some of the other people have said. The issue does seem to be unique to your phone. Every once in awhile a thread like this pops up where someone truly received a bad phone. Happens with pretty much every manufactured item whether it be a car or a phone. Some just don't play nice. Have you tried taking it into a VZW store?

Well now that its all sorted out
I fully understand your frustration. However sometimes things don't always go according to plan and you have to work with your options. Your phone may be experiencing hardware issues and if that's the case a refurb will most likely outperform your current phone.

As far as refurbs are concerned when I received my refurb Droid 1, it was in perfect condition. No one posts about good refurbs though, you only hear about the bad ones.

To the OP... I too would opt for a refurb. I can appreciate your frustration, with both the device and VZW. That said, the platform itself is a strong one, you just had the misfortune of picking one of the short straws that exist in every batch. I too came from a BB, and this thing just blows it away. If a factory reset hasn't done the trick, go for the refurb option. Good luck.
I can only relate to number 10 which doesn't bother me at all. I never use them and they don't effect phones performance. My original phone had defective camera so I had to wait a week for best buy to get restocked. Second phone is flawless in my opinion.

A refurbished phone is better than a non-working one.
I wouldn't be overly concerned about a refurb. I have received 3 over the years and only 1 didn't look perfect. I think the reason for that was it was a very old phone at the time and their stock was very low. The Samsung Rogue I received was absolutly perfect and far better then the one I gave them. I say give it a try.
