09-24-2010 11:04 AMA friend got her new X 2 days ago and it was 2.1.
The OTA update is straightforward and just takes about 10 minutes. -

09-24-2010 11:10 AMI know once I went in to get my phone replaced they had replacements there but couldn't give me one because it did not have the latest software in it. So of they a are sending it to you not positive but could possibly have 2.2 installed.

09-24-2010 12:07 PMGot mine wednesday as well. 2.1 however the update was right there so I spent all of 10 minutes on 2.1 while everything synced then downloaded the update.

09-24-2010 12:41 PMIm sure in the coming weeks they will ship with 2.2. Since new droid X's are in stock finally, they will all have 2.1 still, once the stock is depleted and restocked with new phones, they will probably have 2.2 from motorola. As for CLNR, its a toss up, they could and most likely will ship with the newest OS asap.
