    Time since boot - 2hr 18min

    And I'm down to 30%!!!!

This morning, I purposely ran the phone till it quit on me...then did a full recharge to 100% with the phone in it's "off state". When it said 100% charged, I booted it.

The only apps that have been run:

Facebook for android (not set to auto-sync), Yahoo mail app (also only set to sync when I kick it, three text messages, and I checked the *#*#4636#*#* to see what the battery stats were. That is it. Everything else has been laying on it's back, screen off.

Picked it up to answer a text, battery is orange.
    Battery temp @ start was 36C...now 43C!

    Is it FB? no sleep?

    WTF?

I screwed up and rebooted it by accident.

If I do the *#*#4636#*#*Battery history, the running column pretty says a time that matches how long the phone is on. I'm sorry, I cn't remember if that was the same thing prior to my rebooting it. I don't think so...I believe that it went to sleep.

I'm still running 2.1 and am waiting the 2.2 OTA update.

What battery specifics I can write in to help? There is a whole bunch of "other usage" stuff...I don't know where to start.

I have data push off, manual fetch, background data on, data roam off, social app sync over wifi only.

For the last 20 mins and 10s it's been on display is 77%, one voice call is 21%, and cell standby is 3%.

I recently did the *228 press 2 update and that didn't cure anything. Just did a reprogram on the phone.

Turned background data off. Phone is down to 10%...time since reboot 33 mins. That is 20% in half an hour. Oh my.

I was messing around with some settings with my phone and phone screen was on for 3-4 hours straight for my fantasy football draft and I lost 20% which was after I went to settings/applications/development and checked keep screen alive. before i checked this my battery was draining less then day I would have to charge. I unchecked and it was back to normal.

I am going to check after I have a full charge and see if it does it again.

I don't believe that I changed anything in development...my screen doesn't stay on very long after my fingers leave the face of it. If anything, I hit the lock button before I set it down. Just habit, but I can't see letting it sit for two or three minutes with the screen on for no reason.

its not going to be on unless it is charging. in that case just uncheck it while charging I am testing it right now to see if I get the same results. i will get back to you in 30 min to see if there is a improvment in my battery length I would probally call verizon for a replacment if it drains that fast. possible dud battery. Mine last at least a day.

Go to battery manager and change your Battery Profile to Battery Saver Mode. Also turn your screen brightness down a bit. I had battery issues as well but since I changed a few of these settings I can go a whole day with heavy use on my Droid X.

did you upgrade your facebook to 1.3.1? I know they had major battery issues with 1.3 about a month ago. It's actually on build 1.3.2 now, just checked.

    Yeah, I'm on 1.3.2

Also...phone is on Battery saver mode. Really, I've got this thing as close to asking me for permission to access anything as it can be. I don't know what happened from the first couple weeks of ownership cause it was running like a million bucks. VZW says to bring it in to the VZ hub to let them take a look at it. I guess I know where I'm going tomorrow.

    Ugh...
